In order to steer clear of the harmful side-effects, we could choose to use home remedies instead of store bought product. There are various natural products that can help reduce stretch marks and lighten them if not make them disappear completely. However, it requires a regular skin care routine and strict discipline. Below are the few examples of natural and home remedies for stretch marks :

  • OLIVE OIL

Rich in antioxidants and nutrients, olive oil aids the regeneration of cells. Which help to restore the skin.

Warm a few tablespoon of oil, then massage it gently into the affected area until completely absorbed.

  • SUGAR

A natural exfoliant for skin, sugar is one of the best home remedies to get rid of stretch marks.

Take 1tbsp of granulated sugar and add few drops of almond oil and lemon juices. Rub into the affected area for 10 minutes and then rinse.

  • ALFALFA LEAVES

These contains amino acids and vitamins E and K which improved skin health and tone.

Mix 1tsp alfalfa powder ( available online and at health food stores ) with a few drops of argan oil to form a paste. Gently massage into the affected area twice a day.

  • ALOE VERA

One of the most effective home remedies for stretch marks and skin problems.

Apply aloe vera gel to the affected area and massage gently until completely absorbed.

  • COCOA BUTTER

Cocoa butter has such reputation for enhancing blood circulation, which help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and prevent them from appearing (great for use during pregnancy).

Massage a small amounts of cocoa butter into the affected area twice a day for two months.

  • LEMON JUICES

The acid in lemon juices helps fade stretch marks and scars.

Squeeze the juices from one lemon and massage into the affected area for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

  • EGG WHITES

Rich in proteins, eggs white can help to restore skin elasticity and increase the production of collagen.

Whisk the white of  2 eggs and massage into the affected area for 10 minutes, then rinse.

  • POTATO JUICES

The juices from potatoes is rich in mineral and vitamins. It promotes restoration and growth of skin cells.

Cut few thick slices of a medium sized potato and gently rub the slices into the affected area until they become dry, then rinse and apply a light layer of moisturizer.

Whether you battle wounds are fresh and purple or faded and silvery.
