5 easy DIY island beauty recipes

Hello readers and natural Beauty fans :). It’s been quite long time I didn’t post. It’s been a hectic holiday season for me and for most of you all I supposed too. But, worries no more:) before ending our year on 2018 I post something easy and simple DIY recipes straight from the island natural beauty resources :). And if you happened enjoying holiday in a sun and sandy island complete with coconut trees, this easy peasy recipes is perfectly for you to taking care of your skin when you play under the sun :).

As a young lady who grew up at one of paradise island on earth, I have pretty much exposure from the sun and sea water. Whether just from during or sun bathing, those activities are my favourite but somehow it dry up my skin and hair. And this easy DIY recipes help to restore what is lost when I am having fun under the sun and sea water ;).

Here are my 5 easy DIY island beauty recipes :

1.WARM BANANA HAIR MASK

As banana are busting with minerals and nutrients, they are perfect for restoring vitality to your hair, especially after too much exposure to sea, sun, and salt. And the oils in thus recipe will replace lost oils and reciver the hair’s natural shine:).

WHAT YOU NEED :

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

METHOD :

Mash the banana and set aside. WARM oil gently and add to the banana mush. Apply this to wet hair, beginning at the roots and working your way down. Wrap your head in a hot towel and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water to seal in the shine before shopping and conditioning as normal.

2.FINE SAND FOOT POLISHER

WHAT YOU NEED :

  • 3 handfuls fine sand
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 5 drops peppermint essential oil

METHOD :

Mix until everything has form a paste. Massage into feet, exfoliating any dead skin in the process. Rinse with tepid water and towel dry.

The sands act as a natural school and and the coconut oil moisturizers the feet that tend to be dry. The peppermint oil refreshes tired and smelly feet :).

3.PRE SUN STRIP

This sun strip softly nourishes and revitalizes the skin before limited and gentle exposure to the sun.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 fresh coconut
  • 2 tbsps of ground rice
  • 2 tbsp of coconut milk

METHOD :

Grate the flesh of the coconut and mix in the rice and milk. Scrub the mixture over your whole body to exfoliate and moisturize. Wrap up in a big soft towel for 15 minutes. Than shower off after.

4.COCONUT LIP BALM

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 tbs grated beeswax
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp almond oil

METHOD:

Melt the beeswax and coconut oil in a glass bowl ( used obviously heat proof!) Over a pan of boiling water. Then whisk in the almond oil. Remove from the heat, pour into any small container with kid to prevent it from drying up. A small film canister is perfect. Allow to set.

5.EXUMA SALT SCRUB

The grainy texture of the salt makes this a perfect exfoliate :).

WHAT YOU NEED :

  • 15 tbsps of coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 cup base massage oil, such as almond, jojoba, or hazelnut

METHOD:

Mix the ingredients salt and oil together. Then rub the mixture over your body in civukar motions. Pay special attention to tough patches, such as elbows, knees, and the soles of your feet.
