Hello reader and all the DIY homemade beauty? I hope all of you are doing great :). First of all I would like to apologize, because is been quite sometimes I didn’t write. I have been sick right after the new year getting fever and dry cough on and off :(. But, today I am on my 90% recovery mode after almost 2 weeks!! so I decide to write a little things about homemade DIY recipe for getting beautiful hair naturally :). So, stay tune and keep reading!!!
Isn’t will be great if everyday was a great hair day? Those occasion when your hair is extra-swishy and just fall beautifully into place seem all to rare and random. But, rather than leaving to chance. Why not, give your hair weekly treat to make those hair days come around more often :). This mean you will nourishing the scalp and hair roots with homemade hair mask. WOHOOOO!!!
I am not a fan of buying ready-made hair mask and putting all those toxins directly into my scalp. And they are a bit pricey too, also if I know how to make them myself why should I buy :). But before I give you a whole bunch of recipes, here’s what you need to know.
- Mask once a week, even if you think your hair is healthy. Masking is all about taking good café of the scalp.
- The best time to apply your mask is pre-shower, or if you prefer, you can apply the hair mask to your dry hair before bed, leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning.
- Wash the mask off thoroughly with shampoo, otherwise you will end up with a greasy helmet!
- All mask work differently, depending on the ingredients you use, so make sure you follow the instruction for your chosen mask.
The following recipes below are straight from the fridge, they are easy, nourishing, and full of goodness :
1.TROPICAL FOR EXTRA STRENGHT
Blend 2 over ripe bananas until smooth. Add 1 tbsp. sweet almond oil, 1tbsp. apricot kernel oil, and 1tbsp. Manuka honey ( or other good quality honey) and blend again. Apply to dry hair and leaves for 10 minutes then rinse.
2.PAPAYA TO HEAL SPILT ENDS
Blend 1/2 ripe papaya with 1 tbsp. olive oil, and 125ml/ 1/2cup natural yogurt until smooth. Apply to dry hair. Leave for 20-30 minutes then rinse.
3.STAWBERRY FOR SUPER-SHINE
Blend 10-12 strawberries with 1tbsp. coconut oil, and 1 tbsp. aloe vera gel. Apply tp dry hair, and leaves for 15-20 minutes. Rinse well.
4.PUMPKIN FOR ADDED VOLUME
Blend 2 cups cook and chop pumpkin with 1tbsp. coconut oil, 1 tbsp. honey, and 1 tbsp. natural yogurt. Apply to damp hair and cover with a shower cap. Leave for 15 minutes and rinse well.
5.YO-CADO FOR EXTRA SOFT LOCKS
Blend the flesh of 1 avocado with 125ml/ 1/2cup natural yogurt and 1 tbsp. each of argan oil and walnut oil. Apply to damp hair and leave for 10 minutes then rinse well.
6.EGG HEAD FOR SHINE, CELL REPAIR AND BOUNCE
Beat 1 large egg in a bowl, add 250ml/ 1 cup milk and 2 tbsp. olive oil to the egg and mix well. Add squeeze of lemon and mix again. Apply to dry or damp hair. Leave for 15 minutes, then rinse well.
- BRUNETTES : Rinse with ground coffee and warm water
- REDHEADS : Rinse with cranberry juices and warm water
- BLONDES : Rinse with glass of champagne
