“Lips are the most important part of the face, they are used for everything from speech to food.”

My best friend Grandma

Lips are the ultimate symbol of not just sensuality, but sexuality. I believed lips were the ultimate way to communicate with man-from producing a flirty pout to puckering up!

Just look at the million of dollars spent each year on lipsticks, glosses, and other products designed to give the illusion of an Angelina pout. Without knowing it, when we think of beautiful, youthful smiles, we picture full, soft, smooth, wrinkle-free lips.

Attaining the defined, sexy, and sensual look is often matter of genetics. And even if you lucky enough to be blesses with the lucky pout, the aging process can take it toll. Unfortunately, it cause lips to recede and thin over time which explain why woman spends million each year as collagen and Juvéderm to enhance the lips.

That’s because the lips are actually one of the first places on your face to reveal age. Like the eyes, lip’s outer layer gets thinner as we lose collagen with age. With time, lips become dry and more susceptible to wrinkling.

Below are my easy DIY lip care for great lips :

This recipes will infuse the lips with moisture and vitamins. When you mix honey, avocado, mango and toothpaste, it’s brilliant combination! Just try it-it will make the lips look young and smooth.

  • 1 tablespoon shredded mango
  • 1 tablespoon smashed avocado
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3/4 tablespoon of any toothpaste
  • 1 small surgical pad/ paper towel (cut into a 2*2-inch pad)

Mashed up the mango and avocado until they become a creamy mixture. Now throw in the honey and toothpaste and mix everything together well in a blender for 1 minute. Soak surgical pad ( lip patch) in the mixture for 10 minutes. Leave the pad on your lips for 20 minutes. It’s the ultimate moisturizer :).

I eat two to three apples on any given day. They are so delicious, while satisfying my sweet tooth, they are also high in fibre. Apples are also incredibly moisturizing for the lips. This simple treatment will light up your lips. it’s a good mask to use before bed. You’ll love how your lips look in the morning. It will supply vitamin C and moisture, and putting on lipstick will never seem to easy.

  • 1 slice green apple ( about 1/2 inch in width )
  • 1 teaspoon butter

After you put on your cleanser and moisturizer, throw on the mask. Massage the lips with the slice of an apple for 5 minutes, then apply butter on top. Don’t wash anything off. Leave it overnight. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll want to lick your lips since they’ll taste so good! 🙂

This recipe is brilliant to use before bed and as soon as you wake up in the morning. These are four common ingredients in every household and they will smooth out lips better than any balm. In addition to moisturizing, the sugar in the recipe will help exfoliate and get rid any of those unwanted flakes on your lips. Suddenly your lips will be ready for a little color.

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and apply on the lips. Keep the mixture on for 20 minutes and then wash off. Now put some gloss on those smooth lips. 🙂

Talk about pouring moisture back onto your lips. You’ll love this concoction. Put it on before bed and you won’t believe the change in your lips. They’ll be moist and ready for some lipstick. Vitamin E protect lips and is good things to use during the winter months to ensure for lips to stay soft and smooth.

  • 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E

In a small bowl combine the honey, olive oil, and vitamin E. Mix the all together and store in an old lip gloss container or keep cover in a small bowl. Apply every night. ( expire date : 1 month)

Coconut and aloe vera gel are great combination for the lips. and there is no harmful preservative in this gloss and you’ll adore the way it moisturizes the lips!

  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly

Mix together in a glass bowl and store in either a small Tupperware or and old lip balm container. Put the mixture in the freezer for an hour and then it’s ready to use! Store in the freezer to make it last longer.

EXTRA TIPS : Scrub away dry skin by mixing Epsom salt with petroleum jelly. This treatment will also give your lips a bit of plumbing since salt retains water.
